Roy Campodonic

Roy Campodonic was born in Pembroke Dock, South Wales, on 13 October 1944, He spent his School years in Pembroke Dock.

In 1961 he joined the RAF for a 3 year apprenticeship at the Number One School Of Technical Training, Halton in Buckinghamshire, graduating as a junior Technician in 1964. During his 12 year service Roy worked on many different Aircraft including the Vulcan, Lighting, and VC10. in various squadrons both home and abroad.

In 1969 he married Carol and they lived in Oxford before returning to Grimsby in 1972.
They have a Son Martin, a Daughter Helen, a Grandaughter Mia, and a Grandson Oscar.

After leaving the RAF in 1974, Roy worked in the chemical Industry for 4 years before joining a food company as Electrical Supervisor and eventually Maintenance Engineer. He was to spend the next 27 years with the same company, retiring in October 2006.

He has been a member of the Orpheus since 1996, but in his own words wishes
he had joined this welcoming, friendly organisation many years before.
